Our approach is grounded in the best of conventional medicine and informed by Lifestyle Medicine to manage acute, chronic and complex conditions.
Lifestyle Medicine
We recognise that the cause of many chronic health conditions can be found in modern life. Lifestyle Medicine is an effective approach to managing these conditions because it incorporates a “common sense” approach as the foundation of good health; this ethos is at the heart of everything we do. At Life Medicine Mullumbimby, we empower patients to make lifestyle modifications that treat the underlying causes as part of an effective, sustainable care plan.
Allied Health
Sometimes the best health outcomes are achieved by accessing a multi-disciplinary team of allied health professionals to create a personalised treatment plan. University-qualified practitioners deliver health services to prevent, diagnose, manage and treat conditions or illnesses, making them a natural fit for our “whole person” ethos at Life Medical Mullumbimby. Our doctors work closely with Allied Health practitioners to help manage those with existing ailments and those who are otherwise well but want to optimise their health and fitness. We have an Exercise Physiologist and Osteopath onsite, and a Dietician joining our team soon.
Some patients may be eligible for a GP Management Plan to help manage an ongoing condition. Make an appointment with your doctor to find out if you are eligible.

Our Fees
Lifestyle Medicine Consults
New Lifestyle Medicine clients are invited to attend two 1-hour consultations. The initial consultation includes a comprehensive assessment of your physical and mental health, along with the arrangement of any necessary investigations. At the follow-up appointment, your results will be reviewed, and a detailed management plan will be provided to help you achieve optimal health outcomes.
The first two consultations are billed at $500 each.
Subsequent consultations are billed based on time. Please see the table below.
Initial consultations and subsequent 1 hr appointments require a deposit of $100, which will be deducted from you consultation fee on the day of your appointment.
Telehealth Consults incur the same fees as face to face consults.

GP Chronic Condition Management Plans (GPCCMP)
All Medicare Card holders with a Chronic or Terminal Medical Condition can access 1x management plan per year and 3-monthly reviews. The GPCCMP are bulk-billed for eligible patients.
GP Mental Health Care Plan (GPMHCP)
GPMHCP will be bulkbilled for eligible patients. Medicare funds 1x GPMHCP per 12 month period.
Payment Policy
Payment is due at the time of your consultation. Payment can be made by cash, credit card or EFTPOS.
Prepayment is required for all Telehealth consultations. Medicare rebates are available to eligible.
Medicare card holders and will be processed with Medicare at the time of the consultation. Please note that if you have a telehealth appointment, the rebate only applies if you have had a face-to-face with the doctor within the last 12 months.
Cancellation Policy
Please contact us as early as possible for any appointment changes or cancellations.
If you need to cancel or reschedule we require 3 business days for long appointments (24 hours notice for shorter appointments of 20 mins or less). Missed appointments and cancellations made outside of this window incur a full fee. Note that patients are unable to re-book until this fee is paid. We may require pre-payment for future bookings.
Confirmation requests are sent via SMS, email, or phone. Please note that if you do not confirm your appointment, it may be given to someone on our waiting list.
